Special Transportation Service (STS) and Limousine Compliance Corner
To accommodate all requests for vehicle inspections, it is important drivers are on time for scheduled appointments and that MnDOT is given notice if drivers will not be able to make the appointment or need to reschedule the appointment.
- We require a 24-hour notice if you are unable to make it to your scheduled inspection. If you need to reschedule, contact us at 651-366-3648 or VehicleInspections.DOT@state.mn.us at least 24 hours in advance.
- Be on-time to your appointment.
- If you are a few minutes late, your vehicle may not be inspected.
- If you are more than ten minutes late, your vehicle will not be inspected.
- Failure to give notice to cancel or reschedule (No Call/No Show), will result in a Waiting Period for rescheduling.
- For the first instance, a waiting period of 14 days will be imposed to reschedule
- For second and future instances, a waiting period of 30 days will be imposed to reschedule
-
Please note: Conducting for-hire trips without having the completed required inspection is against the law and could result in a fine or suspension of your authority.
Remember: If a scheduled inspection appointment needs to be canceled or rescheduled, please contact us at 651-366-3648 or VehicleInspections.DOT@state.mn.us at least 24 hours prior to the appointment to avoid being subject to a Waiting Period.
Safety Reminder
Winter has arrived, please make sure you have a window scraper in your car!
