We made it, folks! This is our final email update for 2024 because today, Friday, Nov. 8, Highway 108 east reopened to all traffic in Pelican Rapids. Crews paved the roadway this week, finished final striping and signs were installed. The road is now open!
There are a lot of traffic control devices to remove, so please give crews space to work as they begin taking down detour signs, message boards, cones, barricades and barrels. It takes time to clean up the work zone and detour routes so your patience is appreciated.
Other week 30 progress: concrete crews have finished pouring the trail along Highway 108 west, as well as the stairs at the retaining wall along Highway 59 north of Second Avenue. There's still work that'll be done along Highway 108 west, so expect to see workers out there until the weather pauses their progress.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones where workers are present, and never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones.
