D3 - Hwy 169 Redefine - Elk River freeway: 2022-2024 construction

All lanes, Main St. interchange open

We are thrilled to announce the final year of the 169 Redefine project is nearly complete as the new Main Street interchange and all lanes open to travelers Friday night, Nov. 1, in Elk River.

Crews will continue to complete work along the project through November. Motorists may encounter periodic lane or shoulder closures. The Main Street signal system will also be monitored and adjusted.

Crews will return in spring 2025 for final road striping, turf establishment and other warranted work.

MnDOT will send one final project update to our 7,300-plus subscribers with project photos in the upcoming weeks.
