Metro-Hwy 169 Jordan to Shakopee: 2024 construction
Crews will close a lane in each direction of Highway 169 in Jordan and Sand Creek Township on Mon, Sept. 16 to repair shoulders.
On Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., crews will reduce northbound Highway 169 to one lane from Highway 21 in Jordan to 173rd Street in Sand Creek Township. From 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., crews will reduce southbound Highway 169 to one lane between Bluff Drive in Sand Creek Township and Hwy 21 in Jordan.
Following the Sept. 16 lane closures, crews may still need to complete work that results in shoulder closures, such as landscaping and off-road clean-up.
Crews had originally expected to complete work requiring Highway 169 lane closures on Sept. 13.
Beginning in early May, workers reduced Highway 169 to one northbound and one southbound lane, and limited access at certain intersections, during an improvement project. In August, crews opened lanes to weekend traffic.
Crews repaved and repaired Highway 169 between Highway 21 in Jordan and Marystown Road in Shakopee. They also built new medians and J-turns to eliminate left turns onto Highway 169. These improvements remove high-risk movements and improve safety.
