It's been another month of progress on Highway 114 road construction. Crews continue with utility replacements in the city of Lowry. As they get closer to the Highway 55 intersection with storm sewer and water main replacements, motorists can expect to encounter lane closures and flaggers on Highway 55 while crews work near that intersection.
Concrete crews will be on-site in Lowry this week, weather permitting, to begin forming up curb and gutter, and will start pouring mid-week in town.
South of Lowry, crews will be completing the remaining centerline culvert replacements between Lowry and 150th Street. A reminder that each culvert takes 1-3 days and the road will be impassable to all traffic at the culvert sites. For local traffic (those who have a destination on the roadway), you may need to find an alternate route or enter from the south instead of the north, or vice versa, depending on your destination.
And starting today, Monday, Sept. 9, crews will begin milling and paving, with the operations starting near County Road 24, working south toward Starbuck. Residents should travel with extreme caution in this area, and if you don't have a destination on Highway 114, please stick to the detour route.
With utility work south of Cherry Street done, crews are grading the roadway and preparing for concrete work

Local traffic navigation
Business and residential access is being maintained during construction. If you must use Highway 114 to access a cross street or your destination, be aware of restrictions in the areas where crews are working. You may need to enter from the south instead of the north, or vice versa.
Thru-traffic detour
If you do not have a destination on Highway 114, please follow the signed detour route on Highway 55 and Highway 28.
