D3 - Hwy 169 & Hwy 210 Aitkin to north of Hassman: 2023–2024 construction
Detour extends through Palisade
Sept. 3 to early October
Crews will begin to reconstruct the Hwy 169 and 210 intersection Tue, Sept. 3. The current Aitkin to McGregor detour will continue along Hwy 210 to Co. Rd. 5 (Nature Ave.) Palisade and Co. Rd. 3 (480th St.), back to Hwy 169 north of the Mississippi River.
Once the intersection work is complete, Hwy 169/210 will remain closed and detoured between Aitkin and Hassman until late October.
Upcoming detour to Palisade - Sept. 3 to early October
Local access
Access will be open and maintained to those who live, work or visit within the closed work zone. Expect changes to access, gravel or grooved road surfaces, flaggers, periodic stops and alternate one-way traffic. Please slow down, follow construction signs through the work zone and stay out of barricaded areas.
Those who travel through the work area should plan ahead and be prepared for delays, especially at peak travel times. Cabin and vacation travelers who normally take Hwy 169/210 may want to consider another route.
More about this project
When complete in late October, travelers will benefit from a wider, smoother and stronger road surface; improved safety, access and traffic flow; and updated drainage.
