  Overnight closure for concrete work on bridge Aug. 21–22
The Hwy 25 Mississippi River bridge will close overnight (4-of-4) between River St. and Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14 from 8 p.m. Thu, Aug. 22, to 5 a.m. Fri, Aug. 23.
Hwy 25 will detour to the Hwy 101 Mississippi River bridge between Rogers and Elk River.
Next overnight closures to be scheduled in late September or early October.

Detour, alternate route map
Hwy 101 Mississippi River crossing: Hwy 25 closed overnight at the Mississippi River. Detour uses I-94 Monticello, Hwy 101 Rogers to Elk River and Hwy 10 to Hwy 25 Big Lake.
Hwy 24 Mississippi River crossing: Hwy 25 closed overnight at the Mississippi River. Alternate route via I-94 Monticello, Hwy 24 Clearwater to Clear Lake and Hwy 10 to Hwy 25 Big Lake.
Here's what to expect:
- Fri, Aug. 23, the newly poured concrete surface will need to cure for four days.
- Wed, Aug. 28, both directions of Hwy 25 to switch onto the new, smoother surface (north side of bridge).
- Hwy 25 will remain one lane, each way, 24-7, from Third St. in Monticello to east of Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14 south west of Big Lake through late October.
- The sidewalk will change and be open on the other side of the bridge.
- Thu, Aug. 29, crews will begin work on the northbound lanes (south side of bridge)
- Late September or early October, overnight closures (up to four nights) will be scheduled to do concrete deck work.
Project remains on schedule.

 More about the Hwy 25 Monticello project
MnDOT will resurface and update the Hwy 25 bridge over the Mississippi River in Monticello. When complete late October 2024, the project will provide a smoother road surface over the bridge, improved storm drainage and wider sidewalks along Hwy 25.
