Week of Mon, Aug. 19
- Hwy 169 access to/from Zane St. will permanently close. Use Hwy 169 at School St. or Hwy 10 at 171st Ave. for Zane St. access
- The Main St. intersection will open to Zane St./Line Ave./181st Ave. for north-south-east movements (rainy weather has delayed opening from Fri, Aug. 16, to Mon, Aug. 19)
- Crews will pave mainline northbound Hwy 169, which includes the new westbound Hwy 10 ramp to northbound Hwy 169
Main St. railroad crossing closes Aug. 19–23
Also, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will close the railroad crossing on Main St., just north of Hwy 10, to make repairs from 8 a.m. Mon, Aug. 19, to 5 p.m. Fri, Aug. 23. Use Jackson Ave.
Traffic switch starts late Wed, Aug. 28
The 169 Redefine work zone overnight Aug. 28–29. The process will take the full overnight, so expect changes and watch as things open and close, especially at night when sight distances lessen. Work zone map on project web page.
Hwy 169
Overall, both directions of Hwy 169 will open onto the new, smoother northbound side, which includes the new bridge over Main St. on Thu, Aug. 29.
- Hwy 169 will remain one lane, each way, 24-7, between Hwy 10 and School St. until late October
Main St.
- Main St. open east of new bridge
- Main St. closed at the bridge west to Carson Ave.
- Northbound Hwy 169 on/off ramps open to the new Main St. intersection at Zane St./Line Ave.
After the traffic switch, crews will begin work in full force on southbound Hwy 169 and the west side of Main St. to Carlson Ave.

- Stay alert; work zones constantly change
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300

- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times
