July 12 Update: Highway 220 north of East Grand Forks
|
|
What's happening now?
- Concrete pavement installation
- Starting on the north end, working south
What's happening next?
- Continue crushing old pavement
- Lay down fabric
Traffic Impact: Detour (See map below)
Please use caution while traveling through the worksite. There will be many obstacles such as loose gravel, bumps, large equipment, workers, muddy conditions and many other things that could arise while moving through the project area. Please be as careful as possible around the obstacles that you will encounter. This is a full reconstruction of the road and needs our full attention on completion of the project.
Please, when possible, use the marked detour route to get to the nearest intersection of your home to make this a smoother project for everyone involved.
*Please note: A nearby project- Highway 75/CR 21 roundabout, will begin July 15. For more information: www.mndot.gov/d2/projects/hwy75-roundabout
For residents and property owners along Highway 220, please note the following:
- Business and residential accesses are being maintained but be aware of restrictions and delays in the areas where crews are working.
-
Regarding mail delivery, other delivery services in the area, and necessary services, we will be working through the project to keep those services as fluid as possible. The Grand Forks Post Office has been contacted and is aware of the situation.
- Michels Road & Stone will be in contact with residents along the project who may have impacts to their driveway.
