Z ARCHIVE D3 - Hwy 25 in Monticello: 2024 construction
Expect one lane, each way, 24-7
As the weekend approaches, MnDOT wants to remind travelers that Hwy 25 is reduced to one lane each way, 24-7 between 3rd St. in Monticello and Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14.
This Mississippi River bridge project began Mon, July 8 and has, and will continue, to see major back-ups at busy times.
We realize this is very frustrating, especially for those who live in the area. Please be patient as everyone learns the new work zone.
Please consider alternate Mississippi River crossings—Hwy 24 Clear Lake to Clearwater to the north or Hwy 101 Elk River to Rogers.
Hwy 25 Mississippi River Bridge in Monticello
Local access
The signal and access to River St. will be turned off and closed by Fri, July 12. We hope this helps traffic flow smoother. Note: this was originally planned to close July 15 once the work zone was set.
Access will be maintained; however, expect these changes:
River St. will close to/from Hwy 25 and the signal will be deactivated
Turn/through lanes are modified to improve traffic flow at Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14 and Wright Co. Rd. 75/Broadway Ave.
Pedestrian sidewalk open on one side of the bridge only. Follow signs and stay out of closed areas
