Expect delays, periodic stops
Crews have made much progress and are ready to begin paving operations between Co. Rd. 26 and Ojibwe Dr., which will occur overnights for the next two weeks.
If you plan to travel through the work area at night, be prepared to slow down and stop.

Weeknights June 17–28

Monday night–Friday morning:
- Flaggers will allow alternate one-way traffic with the use of a pilot car through the work zone.
- Expect the work zone to change and move throughout the night.
- Watch for heavy equipment and workers.
Weekdays until mid-July

- Work continues with short segments of alternate one lane, one-way traffic with flaggers during daylight hours.
- Expect the work zone to change and move throughout the day.

Crews install new left-turn lanes on Hwy 169 to improve access at Timber Trail Rd./Co. Rd. 25 (above) and Swing Away/S Port (below).
When complete in mid-July, travelers will benefit from a smoother road surface, updated drainage, and improved traffic flow and safety on Hwy 169.
More about this Hwy 169 project
The $4.6 million project will resurface and improve seven miles of Highway 169 from Crow Wing Co. Rd. 26 to a half-mile north of Ojibwe Dr. Work includes new left turn lanes at Co. Rd. 25 (Timber Trail Rd.) and Swing-A-Way/S Port and guardrail upgrades. In early May, crews replaced three culverts beneath the road.
