Highway 34 Akeley: May 23 update
 What's happening now?
This week crews continued grading and began concrete work. Concrete work will continue next week.
What's next?
Next week, crews will begin paving mid-week and begin to install light poles. Once paving is complete, the detour will be lifted. There will be punch list items to complete after paving, but the project still remains on schedule with estimated completion mid-June.
*Reminder to motorists- Although striping will be complete after paving operations, please continue to obey traffic laws and avoid passing on the shoulder. Drive safe!
Stage 3
- Reclaim Hillside Ave. to Fire Hall
- Storm sewer
- Concrete removals
Traffic impact: Detour utilizing Hubbard CR 25 and Highway 64
