Many small businesses face difficulty in accessing enough bonding and financing. The USDOT’s Bonding Education Program provides small and disadvantaged businesses the tools and resources required to compete for transportation projects.
Learn more about procurement opportunities on federal and municipal contracts. Network with surety and lending representatives. Learn about other small business resources to advance your business. This is a two-day, 10-hour program.
For this bonding education program, MnDOT is partnering with USDOT and the Surety and Fidelity Association of America.
Registration is required.
When and where
- April 25 - 26, 2024
- 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day
- MnDOT Training and Conference Center, Shoreview
This program is free for eligible applicants to attend.
Eligibility
To be considered for this program, applicants must be a primary owner for a business that meets the following criteria:
- In business for at least two consecutive years
- Annual revenue of at least $200,000
- Good credit standing (business and personal)
- Prior work experience in transportation infrastructure construction or heavy construction
- Has one or more of the following small business certifications: DBE, women-owned, small disadvantaged, service disabled veteran-owned, veteran owned, Hub Zone, SBA (8a), MMSDC
