Map of 2024 work zone. Expect periodic lane closures between Hwy 10 and School St. as crews prepare the work zone.
Hwy 169 and Main St.
Work begins early to mid–March
Crews will construct the last Hwy 169 interchange at Main St. Work includes bridges, freeway lanes, adjacent road and sidewalk connections, city utilities and underground infrastructures.
Here's a snapshot of 2024:
-
Early to late March: Prepare the work zone and install temporary crossovers and bypass lanes. This work will require periodic lane closures on Hwy 169 between Hwy 10 and School St.
-
Mid-March: Deactivate and remove the signal system at Hwy 169 and Main St. Access will close to/from Main St. at Hwy 169 between Carlson Ave. and Zane St./Line Ave.
-
April to late October: Hwy 169 will be reduced to one lane, each direction, 24-7, between Hwy 10 and School St. Crews will construct the northbound side first as traffic uses southbound.
Elk River is open
Local access will be open and maintained. Hwy 169 access will be open at Hwy 10, School St., Jackson/193rd Ave. and 197th Ave.
