Non-Infrastructure Projects and Programs – Just opened!

Planning Assistance – due Feb. 21, 2024

• Who is this for? If you are just starting out this is a helpful way to build a team, conduct engagement, and create a plan for infrastructure and non-infrastructure programs for your school, school district, or community. If you have an older plan, consider applying for a plan update to help you re-launch your program.

Boost non-infrastructure grant - due Feb. 21, 2024

• Who is this for? Schools, city, county, tribal nations, or non-profit partners who want to implement education, encouragement, or innovative strategies for youth related to walking and biking for transportation to school or other destinations.
  • Previous grants include bike fleets and trailers, Walking School Bus staff and kits, Traffic Gardens, bike racks and fix-it stations, Crossing Guard or Student Safety patrol staff time and gear, or incentives for Bike and Walk to School Day events.

SRTS School District Coordinator Grant - due Feb. 21, 2024

• Who is this for?
  • A school district that wants to rapidly implement their SRTS plan with funding to hire a SRTS Coordinator to implement programs, update policies, and work with partners to make improvements for walking and biking for youth.

Infrastructure Grant Opportunities

Design Assistance grant – due Jan. 12, 2024

• How will this help implement our SRTS Plan?
  • Consultants will use the data from SRTS Plans to develop engineering designs to help identify costs, create concept drawings, and other engineering needs that may help you secure infrastructure funding.
