D3 - Hwy 10 & Hwy 23 in St. Cloud: 2023–2024 construction
Begins Wed, Nov. 1
It will take several days to reopen the work zone. Watch and expect changes each day. Here's what you can expect at the interchange:
Hwy 23 will reopen first between Wilson Ave. SE and 25th Ave. SE.
- Westbound Hwy 23 will shift onto the new, smoother lanes and bridge that spans Hwy 10. Eastbound will remain and open to two lanes.
Hwy 10 will reopen next between Benton Dr. SE and 15th Ave. SE.
- Eastbound Hwy 10 will shift onto the new, smoother lanes. Westbound will remain and open to two lanes.
Our goal is to have all lanes open by late Fri, Nov. 3, weather permitting.
MnDOT thanks the traveling public for their patience during 2023 construction.
Crews work along new eastbound Hwy 10. Lanes to open late Fri, Nov. 3, weather permitting.
What will remain over winter
Motorists may encounter periodic lane or shoulder closures as crews continue to work off-road until winter arrives.
The current access detours at the interchange will remain active and signed over the 2023–2024 winter season. Fourth St. will also close to/from Hwy 10 and the west frontage road for bridge construction. Visit the project web page for detour details/maps.
Work operations will resume in full force in spring 2024.
Check 511mn.org for current weather, travel speeds and road conditions.
Crews work along westbound Hwy 23 near Benton Co. Rd. 1.
More about this St. Cloud interchange project
When complete in November 2024, the interchange project will provide a smoother road surface, and improve motorist and pedestrian safety and access throughout. This is a long-term, 60-plus year investment in our infrastructure.
We will provide more information about upcoming impacts on the Hwy 10 and 23—St. Cloud interchange project web page or through these project email updates as details become available.
