The work continues on Highway 200 between Mahnomen and Roy Lake. Shoulder widening east of Mahnomen has been completed, and crews continue on the remaining work around Roy Lake.
This week, paving crews are completing mainline paving and the shared-use path near Roy Lake. Be prepared for lane closures, flaggers and pilot cars in that area.
During the week of July 10, crews will begin sealcoating from Mahnomen to Roy Lake.
During sealcoating, crews will start by applying tack and rock, which will sit for one day. Then, return to apply fog seal. Temporary striping will be in place during these phases.
A pilot car and flaggers will control traffic, and motorists should plan for daily lane closures in the areas where crews are working. Drivers are urged to slow down and be alert for loose gravel and oil spraying in these areas.
Once the sealcoating is complete, crews will return a couple of weeks later to paint final striping.
