Z ARCHIVE Metro - Hwy 36 and Fairview Ave. in Roseville: 2023 construction
As reconstruction of the Hwy 36 and Fairview Ave. interchange continues, the ramps and loops between the highway and Fairview Ave. will close early Monday morning, June 26. The interchange is expected to remain closed until late July.
During the closure, you’ll need to follow one of the alternate routes to navigate around the closure and reach Fairview Ave.
Fairview Avenue is reduced to one lane through late August
Fairview Ave. will remain a single lane in each direction between Co. Rd. B and Co. Rd. B2 through the end of the project in late August. Motorists will have right-in, right-out access only along Fairview Ave. in both directions. Traffic cannot cross Fairview Ave.
The project is anticipated to be completed by August 24 before the start of the Minnesota State Fair.
Please note that all timeframes are approximate, subject to change, and weather and schedule dependent.

Crews are rebuilding and realigning the ramps and loops at Hwy 36 and Fairview Ave. near the mall in Roseville. The project also will include drainage improvements along the new alignment, build new right turn lanes on northbound Fairview Ave. and remove the concrete median and relocate signals to allow for the through movement of northbound Fairview Ave. traffic to the mall's west entrance. We are rebuilding existing sidewalks along the roadway to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards. The project is anticipated to be complete in late August.
For more information, including upcoming traffic impacts and detours, visit the project webpage. Please contact the project team with any questions.
