2023 Construction:
I-94/Highway 27/County Road 45/46 interchange improvements
 Thank you for signing up to receive email updates about this summer’s construction at the Interstate 94/Highway 27/County Road 45/46 interchange near Alexandria. These emails will provide the latest progress reports for the project, including upcoming work, traffic changes, and more.
Open house on May 4
Please join MnDOT and Douglas County at our open house this Thursday, May 4, from 4-7 p.m., at the Douglas County Public Works building (526 Willow Drive, Alexandria), to learn more about this year's project at the I-94/Highway 27/County Road 45/46 interchange. There will be no formal presentation, just stop in whenever it's convenient.
For those who cannot attend the in-person open house, detour maps and other construction information, as well as a contact information and an online form to submit comments and questions, can be found on the project website.
About the project
MnDOT and Douglas County have partnered to construct roundabouts at the eastbound and westbound ramps at the I-94 and Highway 27/County Road 45/46 interchange. The improvements will enhance traffic performance, mobility, wayfinding and driver satisfaction at the interchange. Construction is expected to start mid-May.
