MnDOT requests responses to create a highway-heavy construction training program. The program will increase the workforce pool of qualified minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals in highway heavy construction in Greater Minnesota (MnDOT Regions 1 - 4 or 6 - 8 (excluding Metro)). The training program will provide participants with the skills needed to gain entry-level highway heavy construction positions with contractors working on MnDOT projects.
MnDOT seeks responses from workforce centers, community-based organizations, training institutions, colleges, and trades associations to develop and administer at least one program in highway heavy construction career development and training.
The program(s) to be developed and delivered are:
- One or more 4- to 6-week adult highway heavy construction trade training programs in Greater Minnesota for up to 20 participants.
The selected entity will work with MnDOT staff and current OJT Support Services vendors to ensure that services are consistent throughout MnDOT OJT support services programs.
- Questions regarding this RFP must be received by MnDOT no later than 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on April 25, 2023

- MnDOT anticipates posting answers to such questions no later than 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on April 28, 2023.
Deadline: All responses must be received via email with a time stamp of no later 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on May 11, 2023. Late responses will not be considered.
