Winter seems to be on our tails—or at least that's how it has felt a few times this week! Brr! But those chilly temps aren't slowing down construction on Highway 87.
This week, crews are finishing up the concrete work in Phase 2 (Juniper Avenue to Birch Avenue). New sidewalks, curb and gutter are going in along the eastbound lane, and that's expected to wrap up this week. Drivers, please remain alert and obey one way traffic signs on Hwy 87.
Weather permitting, paving is scheduled to take place in Phase 2 on October 25-26!
Phase 4 work & upcoming Hwy 10 lane closures
In Phase 4 (Hwy 10 bridge), crews are working on one side of the road at a time, and they're currently reconstructing the bridge approach panels.
Guardrail replacement on the bridge and Highway 10 will start the week of Oct. 31. During that work, motorists will encounter alternating lane closures in both direction on Highway 10 for approximately one week.
