September has come and gone, and it's been a very busy fall for crews out on Highway 200. Currently, there's approximately five miles of shoulder widening remaining on the project. Crews are working near County Road 3, heading west.
As we mentioned in our last update, the Twin Lakes Creek bridge was delayed to reopen due to material delays. But the work has been ongoing! Crews have poured the approach panels, and they have installed geofoam (which is a lightweight fill to raise the grade leading up to the bridge) on the east end, and are working on the west end. Railing installation is set for October 21, weather permitting, and then they'll be paving the week of October 26.
We expect the bridge to reopen by the end of this month!
If you have a destination on Highway 200, remember that the road is impassable at Twin Lakes Creek and you will need to follow the detour or find an alternate route around the bridge site.
All thru-traffic should continue to follow the detour: Highway 59, Highway 113 and CR 39.
In addition, there is upcoming work at Beatty Creek and Roy Lake that will impact local traffic. Once the schedule for that work is known, we will share more information.
