 2022 Construction:
Hwy 55/59 Elbow Lake to Barrett

Starting next week, crews will begin Phase 2 of the project, which includes shoulder widening from south of the railroad tracks in Elbow Lake through the intersection of County Road 54, as well as the realignment of CR 54 and Third Street.
For approximately four weeks, the road will close from Elbow Lake through the CR 54 intersection, in addition to the current closure between CR 54 and CR 21.
The detour route will be extended to CR 1/Division Street, CR 25, CR 54 and CR 8.
At the same time, culvert replacements between CR 21 and Barrett will begin. Intermittent lane closures are expected, and flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone.
Once Phase 2 work is completed, Highway 55/59 will reopen through Elbow Lake to CR 54. Phase 1 work between CR 54 and CR 21 will continue, and the detour will remain in place on CR 54 to CR 8 until the project is completed in late October.
