MnDOT seeks responses from workforce centers, community-based organizations, training institutions, colleges and trade associations. The selected entity will develop and administer one or more programs in highway heavy construction training and career development. The program(s) will provide participants with the skills needed to gain entry-level highway heavy construction positions with contractors working on MnDOT projects. The goal of the training is to increase the number of qualified minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals working in highway construction in Northern Minnesota.
The programs to be developed and delivered are:
- One or more four- to six-week adult highway heavy construction trade training programs in Northern Minnesota for up to 20 participants
The selected entity will work with MnDOT staff and current On-the-Job Support Services vendors to ensure that services are consistent throughout MnDOT OJT Support Services programs.
