2022 Construction:
Hwy 55/59 Elbow Lake to Barrett

Join MnDOT on June 28 for the Hwy 55/59 construction open house

You're invited to attend MnDOT's open house to learn about the upcoming construction schedule, phasing, and detours for the Highway 55/59 project:

When: Tuesday, June 28, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. 
Where: Grant County Social Services - 15 Central Ave. N., Elbow Lake, MN
Who: Residents, business owners, commuters and area visitors

There will be no formal presentation. Please stop in whenever it is convenient. 

Construction on Highway 55/59 between Elbow Lake and Barrett is currently scheduled to begin July 11, weather permitting. The project will address pavement concerns, shoulder widening, culvert replacements, turn lanes, access improvements, and pedestrian upgrades in the City of Barrett. Can't attend the open house?

No problem! For those who can't make it or prefer to get information virtually, all construction information will be available on the project website. There, you can submit comments and questions via an online form or contact MnDOT.

Other state highway projects that may impact your commute this summer

• Hwy 9 Mustinka River Bridge replacement: June - August, bridge closed/detour. 

• Hwy 29 overpass near Glenwood: April - October, road closed/detour.
• Hwy 55 Wendell to MN/ND State Line: May - July, road closed/staged detours.
