D3 - Let me know about new projects in central Minnesota

ROADWORK AHEAD: Business Hwy 371—Barrows to Brainerd

We wanted to let you know about an upcoming project in Crow Wing County. Business Hwy 371 will undergo roadwork between 70th Ave. in Barrows and Joseph St. in Brainerd.  The project will require detours. 

The following work begins in late April and goes through October 2022:

• Resurface the rural areas of Business Hwy 371 from 70th Ave. in Barrows to Greenwood St. in Brainerd; and install center left-turn lanes at the intersections of 70th Ave., St. Mathias Rd./Co. Rd. 21 and Greenwood St.
• Reconstruct and update Business Hwy 371 in Brainerd from Greenwood St. to Joseph St., includes the signal system at Buffalo Hills Ln./Industrial Park Rd. and pedestrian access between Industrial Park Rd. and Joseph St.

Future impacts

The six month project will require detours, lane closures and changes to access.

In early May Business Hwy 371 will close and detour first between Joseph St. and Buffalo Hills Ln./Industrial Park Rd. in Brainerd. Motorists will use a detour along Willow St., 13th Ave. and Industrial Park Rd. Access will be maintained to area residents, businesses and healthcare clinics.
