2021 Construction: Hwy 87 Frazee to Becker/Wadena County Line
Signs are up, striping is done and Highway 87 is reopening to all traffic TODAY! Thank you to residents, businesses and all area travelers for your cooperation and commitment to safety during this year's construction project.
Crews still have a list of items to complete, including paving at County Road 31, which was delayed this week due to the weather. You'll also see them installing a few additional signs, mailboxes and fire numbers along the corridor.
Please continue to travel with caution throughout the area, obey any traffic control, and watch for heavy equipment and workers.
REMINDER: Railroad closure in Frazee until Friday
For those who live, work or travel in Frazee, Highway 87 remains impassable at the railroad crossing in Frazee until tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 15. Traffic is detoured to Juniper Avenue West/County Road 10, Fifth Street Northwest and Main Avenue West.
The railroad work is in preparation for next year's 2022 Highway 87 reconstruction project in the City of Frazee. Railroad crews are replacing the existing crossing with wider panels in order to accommodate the future trail and sidewalk as part of that project.
