2021-22 Construction:
Hwy 29 overpass near Glenwood

New roundabout, new pavement on Highway 55

Great news: Crews should complete paving tonight on Highway 55 and 160th Street! From there, they'll begin the finishing touches, like final striping and sign installation. Once that work is complete, Highway 55 is expected to reopen by the end of next week! 

Important: when Highway 55 reopens, motorists will use the existing Highway 55 alignment through the winter. Crews will return in the spring to tie everything together and switch traffic over to the new alignment. The new alignment of Highway 55 will be used as part of the detour route for next year's work on Highway 29.

• Storm sewer replacements
• Grading 
• Concrete paving of roundabout at Highway 55/160th Street

Upcoming schedule
