2021 Construction: Hwy 87 Frazee to Becker/Wadena County Line
Reclaiming and paving continue on Highway 87 between Frazee and Evergreen! At this time, reclaiming is nearly complete, and crews are expected to finish paving by next weekend. There is still a lot that will have to be done before the roadway can reopen, so we appreciate your patience as we move into the final stretch of construction.
As crews pave, they're likely to be in various locations daily. Local traffic: remain alert for changing work zones and travel with caution. You will continue to encounter pilot cars and lane closures between Frazee and Evergreen. Please wait and follow the pilot car. Expect short delays.
In addition to reclaiming and paving, crews are also putting finishing touches on the new bridge at the Otter Tail River. Until guardrail is in place, Highway 87 remains impassable at the bridge site, between North River Drive and Main Avenue East. Please continue to use an alternate route.
All Highway 87 thru-traffic: follow the detour route on Highway 71, Highway 34 and County Road 29/Birch Avenue.
