Civil Rights - Events, program updates, small business and workforce training opportunities
Do you know a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 who is interested in vehicles and the latest technology? Encourage them to apply for our CAV Career Pathways Camp!
The one-week day camp will be held August 9–13, 2021, at the White Bear Lake High School South Campus in White Bear Lake, MN. Students will learn all about connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technology and explore career opportunities in a cutting-edge industry that will help shape the future of transportation.
During the camp, students will:
- Get hands-on opportunities with automated vehicles
- Take field trips to organizations working on CAV technology
- Attend info sessions with practitioners in the field and University of Minnesota researchers
- Learn about the wide variety of career opportunities related to CAVs
The camp is free to attend, and lunch will be provided. To apply, students should complete our online application. Students will need to report their GPA and answer three short questions about why they are interested in the camp. Limited spots remain, so apply soon!
With questions, please contact Chelsea Arbury Prorok at arbur001@umn.edu.
The camp is hosted by the MnCAV Ecosystem at the University of Minnesota, a collaborative environment that advances CAV-related research, engagement, and workforce development.
