I-35W, Hwy 52 directional closures in south metro set for this weekend

Hello!

If you’re planning any travel in the south Twin Cities metro area this weekend, please be aware of the following closures.

I-35W in Bloomington and Burnsville

Southbound I-35W between I-494 in Bloomington and Hwy 13 in Burnsville will close from 10 p.m. Fri, May 14 to 5 a.m. Mon, May 17, weather permitting.

The following ramps will close from 9 p.m. Fri May 14 to 5 a.m. Mon, May 17:

• Westbound I-494 to southbound I-35W
• Eastbound I-494 to southbound I-35W
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from 82nd St.
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from 90th St.
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from 94th St.
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from 98th St.
• Southbound I-35W to 106th St.
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from Black Dog Rd.
• Southbound I-35W ramps to/from Cliff Rd.

Follow detour: I-494, Hwy 77 and I-35E, or find alternate routes to bypass the closure

Crews also will close the ramp from Penn Ave. to eastbound I-494 for the weekend to allow workers the necessary space to close the ramp from eastbound I-494 to southbound I-35W. The posted detour will use American Blvd. W. and Lyndale Ave. to eastbound I-494.

Hwy 52 in St. Paul, West St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights

Northbound Hwy 52 between I-494 and I-94 will be closed from 9 p.m. Fri, May 14 to 5 a.m. Mon, May 17, weather permitting.

Follow detour: Eastbound I-494, northbound Hwy 61 to I-94
