Highway 19 bridge project

Highway 19 bridge project completed west of Cannon Falls, all lanes expected to open Friday

All lanes of Highway 19 west of Cannon Falls are expected to open to traffic on Friday, June 15 at 5 p.m. now that construction to rehabilitate a bridge over Prairie Creek is completed.

The bridge located about 3.5 miles west of Highway 52 has new pavement on the bridge deck, new guardrail and the bridge rail was repaired. Total cost of the project was $326,637.

Motorists had encountered a detour during construction and we thank you again for your patience during that time. Those restrictions will be removed once striping of the highway is completed Friday, June 15 (weather permitting).

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
