Did you know? MnDOT Office of Civil Rights Business and Program Development team works to connect certified small
businesses and underrepresented members of the workforce to opportunities in
highway heavy construction. Our team partners
with the business community to:
- Build the
capacity of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises
- Increase the
number of certified DBEs in Minnesota
-
Grow Minnesota’s
skilled construction workforce
In the past year, over 100
small businesses received education, training, and networking opportunities
through the team's activities and initiatives. Over 65 people received highway
heavy construction training and were exposed to new career pathways. Learn more about these events and see what's planned for this construction season (PDF).
Our Business and Program Development Program works to create more opportunities to engage with small businesses, and
continue to grow Minnesota’s workforce to reflect the diversity of our state
throughout the 2017 construction season. We look forward to collaborating with
new firms, industry partners, and interested members of the community to
provide education and outreach, and to create future opportunities for business
and workforce development.
