New this weekend

These traffic impacts are new as of this weekend.

Hwy 5 in St. Paul

Now Open: All lanes and ramps on the Hwy 5 bridge, along with the sidewalk and trails.

Hwy 12 in Independence

Hwy 12 between Co Rd 112/Wayzata Blvd West in Long Lake and Co Rd 6 in Orono will open Fri, Oct. 28 by late-afternoon. The project will then be complete!

Hwy 36 in Roseville

Beginning 9 p.m. Fri, Oct. 28 to 5 a.m. Mon, Oct. 31, eastbound Hwy 36 will be closed from Snelling Ave. to Dale St. The ramps between westbound Hwy 36 and Hamline Ave. will be closed starting 8 p.m. Fri, Oct. 28 until 11 p.m. Sat, Oct. 29. Note: There will be access from eastbound Hwy 36 to Snelling Ave. and from Dale St. to eastbound Hwy 36.

Also, beginning 6 a.m. Mon, Oct. 31 to 6 a.m. Tue, Nov. 1, Lexington Ave. and all ramps will be closed beneath Hwy 36 for resurfacing of Lexington Ave. 

Once these closures end, project work will be nearly completed!

Hwy 47 and Hwy 65 in Minneapolis

Now Open: Fifth Ave. east of University Ave. Through early-November both Third Ave. and Eighth Ave. will be closed at University Ave. - motorists will not be able to access either Third Ave. or Eighth Ave. east of University Ave.

I-94 from St. Paul to Maplewood

From 8 p.m.  Fri, Oct. 28 through 8 a.m. Sat, Oct. 29, westbound I-94 will be reduced to a single lane from McKnight Rd to Mounds Blvd. Continuing this weekend: Hwy 61 to westbound I-94 is reduced to a single lane through November. There are also several ramp closures. Ramps Now Open: McKnight Rd to eastbound I-94, Hwy 61 to eastbound I-94 and westbound I-94 to McKnight Rd.

Hwy 100 in St. Louis Park

The following ramps are now open: Northbound Hwy 100 to eastbound Hwy 7 and 36th St. to southbound Hwy 100. Updates: Hwy 100 is two lanes in each direction between Minnetonka Blvd and 36th Street in St. Louis Park until mid-November. The Hwy 7 bridge over Hwy 100 will remain closed until the end of October 2016. Continuing this weekend: The ramp from southbound Hwy 100 to 50th St/Vernon Ave. is closed until mid-December.

I-494 in the west metro

As project work wraps up, there will be off-peak lane and ramp closures on I-494 south of Hwy 55 through November.


Existing and ongoing

These traffic impacts are ongoing and will continue through this weekend.

Hwy 3 in Farmington

Construction wrapping up through the early-November. Watch for flaggers and detours in area.

Hwy 7 over Hwy 100 in St. Louis Park

Hwy 7 between Wooddale Ave and the Beltline is closed until the end of October. All ramps to and from both directions of Hwy 100 and Hwy 7 (except for northbound Hwy 100 to eastbound Hwy 7 and 36th St. to southbound Hwy 100) are closed.

Hwy 8 in Taylors Falls

Motorists are able to travel through the new roundabout intersection, however, it is not accessible to trucks. There is a detour for trucks traveling on eastbound Hwy 8: southbound Red Wing Ave/Co Rd 21, southbound Pleasant Valley Rd/Co Rd 26 to southbound Hwy 95. Westbound Hwy 8 truck traffic will continue to use the detour through Osceola. The roundabout is expected to open to truck traffic in fall.

Hwy 10 in Anoka

Upcoming work includes: non-rush hour lane closures on Hwy 10 between Thurston Ave. and Fairoak Ave. along with closures on frontage roads on both sides of Hwy 10.

I-35 between Pine City and Hinckley

Northbound and southbound traffic has been placed on the southbound lanes in a head-to-head traffic configuration from the Hwy 48 interchange to the Hwy 23 interchange through Fri, Nov. 4. The northbound lanes at the bridge site are closed.

I-35E in St. Paul, north of I-94

Intermittent overnight lane closures will occur as needed on westbound I-94 at I-35E and on I-35E between I-94 and Maryland Ave. for miscellaneous project activities.

I-35E in Vadnais Heights

Now open: The ramp from southbound I-35E to Co Rd E. Hwy 96 will have intermittent single lane traffic in both directions from White Bear Pkwy and Centerville Rd through November. There will be intermittent lane closures daily during non-peak hours on I-35E between Hwy 96 to Co Rd J through November. There are also several ramp closures through November.

I-35W in Arden Hills

The right lane of northbound I-35W is closed between Co Rd H and Co Rd I through early-November. Co Rd H is closed between I-35W and Co Rd H through late-fall. The ramps from Co Rd H to northbound and southbound I-35W are closed through late-fall, along with the ramp from southbound I-35W to Co Rd H.

Hwy 61 and Hwy 10 in Denmark Township

Expect temporary lane closures in both directions of Hwy 61 from just north of Hwy 10 in Cottage Grove to just south of 127th St. in Hastings as work is completed.

Hwy 61 and Hwy 97 in Forest Lake

Major construction on the Hwy 61 and Hwy 97 Forest Lake roundabout project is complete. Access to all directions of Hwy 97, Hwy 61 and 210th St is are open. Traffic is reduced to a single lane through late-fall as crews finish clean-up in the construction area.

I-94 bridges in St. Paul

The Grotto St. and MacKubin St. ped and bike bridges are closed through November. The Dale St. entrance ramps to westbound eastbound I-94 are closed through mid-November. Note: A highway maintenance project to manage vegetation along I-94 between St. Paul and Minneapolis is happening now through next summer.

I-694 between Little Canada and Arden Hills

Westbound I-694 traffic between I-35E and Lexington Ave. is now separated by a concrete barrier; the left lane will carry through traffic with no access to local roads and the right lane will carry traffic with access to local roads through November. The ramps between westbound I-694 and Victoria St are closed until late-November.
