BOW Spring Turkey Hunt

Women’s Archery Turkey Hunting

The Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) program is coordinating a series with skilled volunteers, conservation organizations and archery shops to offer individual classes.

This series is best suited for women who have archery target experience, or for women archery hunters wanting to learn how to hunt turkeys. This program cannot accommodate cross bows.

No equipment is necessary for sessions 1 - 3 but women planning to hunt should purchase equipment prior to session 4. Women who practice often with their hunting equipment are more successful during the hunt. I highly recommend purchasing your bow through an archery shop to be properly fitted.

The optional hunt is limited to 10 women hunters ages 18+ who have their own archery hunting equipment. Hunters must attend sessions 4, 5, and 6 so we can check your equipment and ensure an ethical shot. First time hunters in this series are given preference for the hunt.
