Weekly Stream Conditions
Rivers are now open and fishable in the lower and middle shore. Rivers in the lower shore have exceeded 40 degrees in the afternoons and steelhead are now being caught in decent numbers, particularly at rivers near Duluth. Similar conditions and some catches were reported at rivers in the middle shore, expect for the Baptism River that remains cold as snow melts in its watershed. Rivers in the upper shore remain cold and some anglers have begun to fish for steelhead. No water temperature or river conditions for upper shore rivers were available at the time of this report. The next report will likely be published on or around Thursday, April 18. Good luck on the rivers this spring!
