The Office of Accessibility wants your feedback
The State of Minnesota is considering including 12 new success criteria from WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to the State Accessibility Standard and they want to hear from you.
To do that, they’ve scheduled informational sessions (shown below) to help you learn about WCAG 2.1. Learn how proposed changes in accessibility can benefit content users and their impact on your programs and services. They will ask for your feedback about what you will need to prepare for the proposed changes.
See the details below about session content, how to attend, and why this is important.

Why this is important
The current State Digital Accessibility and Usability Standard (PDF) is set in statute to include Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and Section 508. In 2018, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) published WCAG 2.1, which adds 12 new success criteria at the A and AA levels. These criteria address key gaps in WCAG 2.0.
