New ways to help people prepare for Medicaid changes

The federal Medicaid partner communications toolkit has new and updated resources to help enrollees get ready for requirements taking effect on Jan. 1, 2027.

Website widgets

Build awareness of eligibility changes with scripts to copy and paste into webpage code that link directly to state resources. Easy-to-use widgets to embed the Renewal Lookup Tool right on a webpage or drive users to the federal changes landing page are currently available.

Multicultural media ads

Download multicultural ads in various file formats and sizes for both print and digital use. Assets are available in multiple languages and designed with culturally representative images tailored to American Indian, Black, Hmong, Latino/Latine, people with disabilities, and Somali communities.

Renewal Lookup Tool

The Renewal Lookup Tool has been updated to allow adults without children on Medical Assistance to report exemptions or qualifying activities for work requirements. Find an instructional video and informational flyer in the toolkit explaining how to use this feature.

American Indian and Alaska Native exemption

American Indian and Alaska Native individuals are exempt from work and community engagement requirements and six-month renewals. Visit the new microsite for details on how to claim the exemption using the lookup tool. (NOTE: If exemption questions do not appear exemptions, it means the enrollee currently meets other exclusions.)

Enrollment moratorium on metro area NEMT providers extended

The enrollment moratorium on Non-Emergency Medical Transportation providers who are based in the seven-county metro area has been extended. Get more details in the provider news message posted on July 23, 2026.
