Add Public Email Address to Provider Hub

Licensed and certified child care centers are encouraged to verify they have an accurate public email address in the Provider Hub.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) and Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) will begin work this year to update the Licensing Information Lookup (LIL) to include a public email address for each license and certification holder. This change supports transparency and fulfills requirements in Minnesota Statutes, section 13.46, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), clause (1), item (i).

The Public Email Address field currently available in the Provider Hub will be used to share public email addresses for licensed child care centers and certified child care centers on the Licensing Information Lookup when this integration is built.

Please note that this email address is public information and may be requested by the public.

How to Add/Update Public Email Address

If you haven’t yet added a public email address in the Provider Hub, or if you need to update it:

  1. Log in to the Provider Hub.
  2. Go to the Business License page.
  3. Select the Details tab.
  4. Select the pencil icon next to the Public Email Address field.
  5. Enter or update the email address.
  6. Select Save.

Currently, no formal approval from your licensor is needed for this update.
