The State of Minnesota made improvements to the Provider Hub yesterday evening. The following updates are now live in the online tool.
- Increased variety of file types that users can upload, including Microsoft Outlook emails (MSG) and PowerPoint presentations (PPT)
- Added text to warn when files exceed the size limit for upload
- Updated agency and statute references in the Applicant Agreement, Acknowledgement, and Verification Form for licensed child care centers as part of the application process to reflect Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) transition
- Updated agency and statute references in the attestation step for certified child care centers as part of the application process to reflect DCYF transition
- Improved design of the approved rooms read-only list for licensed child care centers
- Updated email templates to refer to DCYF rather than Department of Human Services (DHS)
- Added ability for users with Center Operator, Authorized Agent and Delegated Authority access to request new MEC2 PRO users from within the Provider Hub — for providers with an approved Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) registration in the Provider Hub
- Improved process to renew or reactivate a CCAP registration — for providers who previously had an approved CCAP registration in the Provider Hub
- Updated attestation text on both the application and Use of Funds Report
- Updated PDF of completed Use of Funds Report to show payments in chronological order
- Updated Use of Funds Report to prevent users from reporting more funds than their program received through the Great Start Compensation program
- Added text to the application to clarify that users should enter hours in decimals rather than hours and minutes
- Removed operating and personnel expenses questions from the application, which previously appeared quarterly
- Added ability for providers who do not use a Supplier ID to add their nine-digit Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to the application for future payments
Provider Hub Release Notes is a refreshed email series focused on sharing recent improvements to the online tool with users.
The State of Minnesota will send Provider Hub Release Notes after improvements are released in the Provider Hub — typically once or twice a month.
We send these emails to Center Operators of certified child care centers and Authorized Agents of licensed child care centers. Please forward or share this information with other Provider Hub users in your organization.
In these release notes, users can expect to find details on improvements made across the various parts of the Provider Hub — currently child care licensing/certification, Child Care Assistance Program provider registration management, Great Start Compensation Support Payment Program participation, and enrollment and attendance tracking.
