DHS Spring Institute Series continues: Final in-person session and open opportunities for Unlocking MAP’s Full Potential


The Minnesota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division, in collaboration with PracticeWise, is pleased to announce the final workshop in the Spring Institute Series: Unlocking MAP’s Full Potential. This professional development opportunity supports behavioral health providers in expanding their application of the Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) system across a variety of service contexts.

MAP: Expanded Applications for Family Therapy and Supervision (In-Person, June 11, 2025)

Held at Washburn Center for Children in Minneapolis, this full-day, in-person session will explore the use of MAP in family therapy and supervision settings. Participants will engage in interactive activities and discussions to deepen their MAP application in these areas.

Who Should Attend? Behavioral health professionals and supervisors with prior MAP training who are interested in expanding MAP use beyond individual-focused care to family therapy and supervisory roles.

MAP Supervisors: Adapting and Delivering Content for Practitioner Audiences (Virtual, May 7, 2025)

Designed for MAP-trained supervisors and trainers supporting implementation within their organizations. Learn how to adapt MAP content for practitioner audiences, build engagement, and design rehearsal activities.

Who Should Attend? Supervisors and trainers with prior MAP training. No active credential or MAP Agency Supervisor workshop attendance required.

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT

Also Open: MAP Supervisor and Consultation Training Series (In-Person, June 9–10, 2025)

This two-day in-person training is intended for MN DHS contracted providers with a MAP Therapist credential (active or expired) who plan to deliver MAP training or supervision.

Continuing Education (CE) credit is available at no cost for all MAP workshops. Practicewise, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. PracticeWise, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
