• Medicaid programs provide health insurance to 1 in 4 Minnesotans.

• Medicaid helps Minnesota families: Around two-thirds of people who have Medical Assistance are parents, children and pregnant people.

• Medicaid funds are mostly spent on services and support for people with disabilities or who are 65 or older. It covers half of long-term care costs for Minnesotans. 

• Medicaid covers people in Greater Minnesota and the metro area.

• Medicaid covers about 41% of our kids and 3 out of 10 births.
