Resources available for clients affected by possible housing, treatment disruptions


The Minnesota Department of Human Services has been working closely with partners to mitigate impacts of a possible substance use disorder treatment provider closure. Last week, DHS shared information about the situation and what is being done to ensure housing stability and continuity of care for potentially affected clients. DHS also held a listening session with providers, and staff are currently working to answer questions submitted during that meeting.

Today, DHS is reminding partners about materials available to help clients who may experience a service disruption. DHS has:

DHS knows that time is of the essence in this situation, and staff are working urgently to help partners make needed service connections for people in need.

DHS will continue to provide updates to this situation as it is able. When ready, DHS will publish answers to questions from the March 13 listening session on the Thursday Connections with SUD at DHS webpage.
