The Behavioral Health Administration has established daily room and board rates consistent with statute requirements for Children’s Residential 3rd Path reimbursements.
The current established Behavioral Health Fund daily room and board rate for adolescents is $75.29 as found in Minnesota E-docs, form DHS 7612. The statute requires the Commissioner of Human Services to establish room and board rates commensurate with current room and board rates for adolescent programs licensed under Minnesota Statutes section 245G.18.
Legislation enacted in 2023 authorized payment through the Behavioral Health Fund instead of through county allocations. The Behavioral Health Fund will reimburse at the current adolescent room and board rate, and not the Title IV-E maintenance rate, consistent with legislative language.
