There are 220 elements that are submitted to the federal Administration for Children and Families twice yearly. The states are expected to achieve 90% data entry accuracy on all 220 elements or fiscal penalties will be passed to the Department of Children Youth and Families. The SSIS Business Operations unit is working on a comprehensive plan to assist agencies statewide and individually in finding and correcting AFCARS errors. Each SSIS Update will contain tips, reminders, and links to job aids and training resources.
SSIS Mentors, supervisors and IT contacts are asked to provide the following information when submitting requests for assistance with data fixes or when reporting system issues to the SSIS Help Desk:
- Short description of the problem
- What is preventing work from being done i.e., error message, greyed out field
- What needs to be changed and what it needs to be changed to
- Relevant identification: Person number, PMI, SWNDX number, Workgroup number, etc
