Correction: Request for proposal seeks responders for qualified grantees to provide culturally specific behavioral health supports and services and/or workforce development within cultural and ethnic minority communities


The Minnesota Department of Human Services, through its Behavioral Health Division, is seeking proposals from qualified responders to provide and ensure mental health and substance use disorder treatment supports and services that are culturally specific, responsive, and meet the cultural and linguistic needs of communities served. Responders must be a licensed entity or provider from a cultural and ethnic minority population that may provide services in one or more of the categories below. Responder’s may choose to provide services to adults, children and families, or both. Proposals must address one or more of the categories based on the needs of the target population and ability of the agency.

Category 1: Workforce development: Recruiting, supporting, training, and supervising mental health and substance use disorder practitioners and professionals from diverse racial, cultural and ethnic communities  

Category 2: Culturally specific outreach, early intervention, trauma-informed clinical and ancillary services, and recovery support

Category 3: Expansion to greater Minnesota: Infrastructure improvement activities, especially in greater Minnesota

Bonus category, in addition to any category above: Interpreter services or culturally specific case consultation

The culturally specific behavioral health supports and services and/or workforce development within cultural and ethnic minority communities RFP responder’s conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 2 until 4 p.m.  Please send your questions by June 10, 2024 to mn.dhs.cemig.dhs@state.mn.us in order for us to prepare answers.
