The following information changed on the MHCP Provider website:

We updated the MHCP Provider Manual:

• Immunizations and Vaccinations:
  • Under Eligible Providers, we added eligible providers who can administer COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Under Covered Services, we added that the MnVFC program is distributing the COVID-19 vaccines approved by the Food and Drug Administration under an Emergency Use Authorization. We also added details about when COVID-19 vaccines are provided in a home setting.
  • Under Billing, Billing for Child Vaccines, we updated the table by adding the following categories - counseling, without counseling and with or without counseling; and grouped the previously listed CPT code 90460 under the with counseling category. We also added new CPT administration codes to the table. Under with counseling, we added CPT code 90480. Under without counseling, we added CPT codes 90471 and 90473. Under with or without counseling, we added CPT code 96372.
  • Under Billing, Billing for Adult Vaccines, we added CPT administration codes to the table. We added new CPT codes 96372 and 90480.
• Immunizations and Vaccinations – Immunization and Vaccine Benefits Codes for Adults:
  • We changed the 2021-2022 Seasonal Flu Vaccines table title to Seasonal Respiratory Illness Vaccines. We added CPT codes 90678 and 90679 (RSV vaccines) to the table.
  • Under Vaccines and Toxoids for Adults, we added CPT code 90611 (Smallpox and Mpox) to the table.
  • We added a new table for COVID-19 vaccines.
• Immunizations and Vaccinations – Immunization and Vaccine Benefits Codes for Children:
  • We changed the 2021-2022 Seasonal Flu Vaccines table title to Seasonal Respiratory Illness Vaccines. We added CPT codes 90380 and 90381 (RSV vaccine).
  • Under Vaccines and Toxoids Available Through MnVFC, we added CPT code 90622 (smallpox vaccine).
  • We added a new table for COVID-19 vaccines.
