Effective May 12, 2023, TCM services delivered via ITV require the appropriate place of service (POS) to be listed on the claim. Claims will need to be submitted using POS 02 or 10 as follows:
- Place of service 02: ITV contact provided other than the client’s home. The client is not located in their home when receiving TCM service through ITV.
- Place of service 10: ITV contact provided in the client’s home. The client is located in their home when receiving TCM service through ITV.
Minnesota Department of Human Services has updated its Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to reflect this requirement and will reprocess denied ITV claims. Reprocessed claims appeared on remittance advices October 10, 2023. Each date of service must be billed with the appropriate POS on the claim beginning May 12, 2023.
Review the TCM face-to-face contact waiver modifications end, and new Interactive Video standards guidance provided bulletin for more information.
When contacting the SSIS Help Desk for assistance with a PMI push, mentors are asked to include the PMI number and name or initials of the client in their request. If the PMI push is being requested for any reason other than pulling the PMI number into SSIS, such as correcting a name, SSN, gender, or a date of birth, more detailed information should be provided at that time.
Please remember to include the User’s name and SSIS User ID (the Username used when logging in) when submitting tickets specific to user problems to the SSIS Help Desk.
The Description field in the Adult Protection Interventions tab is only available when “Unique Services” is selected. This field is limited to thirty characters. Details longer than thirty characters should be included in the Case notes. Interventions are collected for state and national data.
Refer to the Adult Protection User Guide for more information.
