RS Eden understands the importance of family togetherness. On May 10, the Minnesota Department of Human Services’ grantee is hosting a “Family Day” full of activities to bring the community together and promote the launch of their new Family Recovery Project services.
The event will take place 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at RS Eden, 614 E. Grant St., Minneapolis, MN, 55404. It will include music, food, ice cream, flower planting, a petting zoo and face-painting, among other activities. It will also include information and resources from a multitude of partner agencies.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services recently issued $3.5 million in grant funding for the Family Recovery Project, which aims to reduce barriers to substance use treatment. Specifically, it aims to reduce barriers for parents who face racial disparities, individuals who are pregnant or have children, people living in areas with treatment deficits and those involved with the justice system. Grantees include RS Eden, Ramsey County Mother’s First and Avivo.
