The Odyssey committee is excited to announce more information about the 2023 webinar series, including topics, dates and times for upcoming sessions. Workforce shortage – Data and current trends

Presenters will share data and trends, at the state and national levels, to explain the current direct care workforce shortage. Participants also will learn how changing demographics may further affect direct service for older adults and people with disabilities.

Register for the first Odyssey 2023 webinar: Breaking the cycle of white supremacy in aging and disability services, presented by Donte Curtis. Registration closes at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Overview

Get information about how white supremacy culture is harming us and the work we do. Donte Curtis will discuss how the dominant culture shows up in our lives and provide tools and strategies to break the cycle of white supremacy. Participants will have an opportunity to share new ideas and talk about what is possible when people do the work to form new views about equity, justice and liberation.
